About Us
For many years, The Pines has been a well kept secret .... since we are a small private barn, we didn’t advertise .... Instead we chose to operate on a word of mouth basis.
Our new website is our way of letting people know that we are a wonderful option for those looking for a peaceful well appointed place to keep their horses. We have a friendly family atmosphere with an emphasis on providing horses with a beautiful life. We provide and excellent opportunity for them to get plenty of freedom and socialization.

Our History
The Glidden family have lived at The Pines for 14 years. Ron a is a third generation horseman, his grandparents bred, and raced Standardbreds. For many years The Pines was particularly known as an Arabian farm .... Bernice and Ron started breeding and raising Arabian horses in the eighties, showing them on the National Arabian Circuit. The high point of Bernice and Ron’s showing career was winning the Egyptian Breeders Challenge with a filly named Kamere in 1999. Their stallion Celtik won the 2 year old class at the Buckeye Championships in Ohio ... one of the largest Arabian horse shows on the East Coast.
